In Situ! A special little Mezcaleria situated on one of the main streets in Oaxaca, Morelos No. 511 Centro, is owned and operated by especially gifted historians and connoisseurs of Mezcal.
It's all about tradition and information here ! It's all about the Mezcal so don't ask for Gustavo salt and orange slices
to spice up the Mezcal because you'll get none here. They want nothing, literally nothing, to get in the way of visitors enjoying the flavor of the Mezcal.
Pictured is David and Ulisis. Ulisis is the owner and David has a good handle on the English language so the two together are a joy to speak with . Ulises has wrote articles and books (One of which I purchased on my visit with them) on the production and culture surrounding Mezcale which are must reads for those like myself who are beginning to enjoy the agave nectar.
